Making up part of Southwark Council’s Old Kent Road area action plan, this will be a mixed-use development scheme. The existing light industrial building with be demolished and in its place will be a 9-storey high quality building offering 33 flats (of which 35% will be affordable) and 900sqm of new B1 commercial space over 2 floors.
This will be in an area that is soon to benefit from new public open space with improved transport links.
We worked with Stephen Davy Peter Smith Architects and Richard Quelch at Q Square Planning Consultants to submit a detailed planning application for this project, and it was unanimously approved by Southwark Planning Committee.
